What makes this story different?
While The Knight of Iaddash II picks up where The Knight of Iaddash left off, the world of Gezentine has been drastically changed. Not only the world, but Kahsa himself.
At the end of book one, Kahsa’s arm is severely wounded, that wound continues into this book. In many ways this made the book more challenging to write, but also a lot more fun. What does it look like for a trained fighter to get such a serious wound that hinders his abilities to fight. And what about his God, who claims to be all powerful but has yet to heal his wounded Knight? These are all reasonable questions, and many of us deal with similar questions in real life. This made the book more challenging to write because it was important to get that conflict right. I think I did, but you can be the judge of that.
There are also added stakes to the book outside of Kahsa’s personal conflicts. At the end of Book One, Agar managed to open the Gates of Sheol and unleashed a great darkness over the land. You will see the direct results of that. What happens when humans are faced with an otherworldly power they cannot stand up against? And what happens when someone is arrogant enough to think they can control such forces?

I am very excited to share The Knight of Iaddash II: Into the Gates of Sheol with you! This series has been my passion project, and Book 2 is by far my favorite of this duo-logy! I wrote this book during 2020, after my collage was closed due to the COVID Pandemic that was occurring during the time. That was during my senior year. So much emotion, blood, sweat and tears has gone into this book, as well as a lot of faith. I praise God that I was able to complete it, and I pray that the themes and character of this book would help soothe the weary heart!
Regardless of the results though, I just hope you enjoy the ride!
